Comfortable shared housing is provided in the Delmas area. Housing is located in easy walking distance from campus and includes both private and semi-private rooms. Rent includes running water, potable drinking water, internet, electricity (with occasional mid-day outages), and kitchen access.

Visting Students

Students from abroad -- including graduate students conducting research in Haiti -- are welcome to stay in our dormitory-style accommodations. These include comfortable twin sized beds in private or semi-private rooms with ample storage space and a bathroom nearby. Meals are not included. Laundry is available for a small fee. Rate is $20 per night.

This highly reduced rate is also available to researchers with limited funding, NGO workers who are not on per diem, and people volunteering or working in Haiti with limited financial support.

Visting Faculty

Visting faculty members are provided with comfortable rooms and private or semi-private bath. Laundry, breakfast and some other meals are also provided.

Creole Institute Students

Students in the Creole language program are required to pay for a housing plan that includes some meals (usually breakfast and some lunches) and laundry. Accommodations will often be a mix of homestay with local Haitian families and living in the Delmas campus dormitory. Dormitory accommodations include comfortable twin sized beds in semi-private rooms with ample storage space and a bathroom nearby. The fee for 2014/15 is $250 per week and $35 per day for early arrivals or late departures.

Guests

Visitors who are living in or traveling in Haiti are welcome to stay in our faculty housing. The rate is $50 per night and includes breakfast and laundry service.
